COMMUNITY CENTER<br />
RENTALS<br />
There are 3 different time slots for rentals:<br />
Monday through Friday: 3:30 pm - 11 pm<br />
Weekends: 7:00 am - 4:00 pm and<br />
5:00 pm - 11 pm<br />
Rental Fees: $125 per time slot and a<br />
$200 damage deposit. If more than one<br />
consecutive time slot is rented, the additional<br />
slot rental is $75.<br />
Concert rentals after 5:00 p.m. will have a<br />
<strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Hiawatha</strong> Police Officer present at an<br />
expense to the renter at a rate <strong>of</strong> $20.00 per<br />
hour.<br />
Refunds & Cancellations:<br />
$25.00 fee for cancellations<br />
No refund if cancelled within 48 hours <strong>of</strong><br />
function<br />
General Information: The Center is<br />
approximately 2200 square feet and holds<br />
170-250 people. The kitchen has a stove,<br />
microwave, refrigerator. Audio and video<br />
equipment is a available for rental.<br />
An insurance policy number is required.<br />
Reservations: Stop by <strong>Hiawatha</strong> <strong>City</strong> Hall,<br />
101 Emmons Street, to fill out registration<br />
forms and make payment.<br />

Pavilions for Rental:<br />
Guthridge Park: 2 pavilions<br />
Tucker Park: 2 pavilions<br />
Kainz Drive: 1 pavilion<br />
Fay M. Clark Memorial Park: 1 pavilion<br />
Park Time slot rental:<br />
• 6:00 am - 11:30 am<br />
• Noon - 4:30 pm<br />
• 5:00 pm - 10:00 pm<br />
Rental Fees: $25 per time slot or $60 for the<br />
whole day<br />
Alcoholic beverage use restrictions:<br />
No person shall bring, use, consume, or have<br />
in his or her possession, in a city park, beer in<br />
a keg or any other container larger than one<br />
quart, except beer permit holders and<br />
suppliers or vendors authorized by the <strong>City</strong><br />
Council. No person shall bring, use, or<br />
consume beer in or within any playing area,<br />
fields, or courts. All other types <strong>of</strong> alcoholic<br />
beverages are prohibited in city parks. Be<br />
prepared to carry out your trash to avoid<br />
overflow.<br />
All pets must be on leash and all droppings<br />
must be immediately cleaned up and disposed<br />
<strong>of</strong> in a proper manner.<br />
Large group rental fees may apply<br />
Park pavilions usually open around the<br />
15th <strong>of</strong> April and close the 15th <strong>of</strong> October.<br />
