TechniSat HDT 4 for Poland,
Hungary and others
Integrated CONAX
decoding system
Besides support for the MPEG4 compression
standard, the integrated CONAX decoding
system holds great significance for
the Polish satellite TV market. In Hungary,
CONAX is being used even by DTT pay
providers. An integrated smart-card reader,
along with a logical user design (typical for
TechniSat), complete the capability range
of the newly developed DTT receiver. The
operating menu offers as many as ten languages.

MPEG4 for maximum
program variety
Because Poland has gone with the
new HDTV-compatible MPEG4 compression
standard, seven SD channels
can be transmitted with a single multiplex.
It also allows digital terrestrial
HDTV broadcasting. In the future, Poland
will have six to eight multiplexes
available – that means 40 to 60 digital
TV channels in SD resolution.
