Today modern multiplex cinemas like the one in Wroclaw in Poland show fi lms in 20 halls at the same time. However, even if with regard to size, technology and services, many changes have been made but the fundamental essence is still what was earlier termed “light play theatre”. A fascinating architecture with artifi cial and natural lighting creates a foretaste of the experience to come, even from the very fi rst glance. While the light has a playful aspect, a natural fl owing movement arises from the curved shaped walls, ceilings and the entire interior. The fundamental geometric shape of the interior design fi nds ellipsis again in the pattern of the carpet. As with all Halbmond Teppichwerke productions, the overlapping strip designed pattern has worked again, without inlays.
