Coaching – Team <strong>BC</strong> program – Directorates put<br />
out applications for Team coaches 12-14 month<br />
before games and solicits coaching applicants.<br />
Coach Selections normally done before player<br />
applications. All Coaches have to be certified<br />
Coaches know the players in their area and they<br />
solicit players as well as open applications for all<br />
players in zones<br />
Coaching Association and local clubs work<br />
together with Zone Directors/League<br />
Commissioners to do team selections in each<br />
area.<br />
Zone Directors responsible to get selected Teams<br />
and Coaches into the Database – 1 week before<br />
<strong>BC</strong> Games Deadline. (Gives PA time to deal with<br />
verification and last minute issues that come up)<br />

Provincial Advisors, Team <strong>BC</strong> personnel,<br />
Directorate, all HC and Zone Directors have<br />
provincial conference calls to go over<br />
processes for selecting players, scheduling<br />
try-outs, insuring all players know when,<br />
where and selection process. Go over<br />
everyone’s responsibilities and deadlines<br />
A second conference call held 2 weeks before<br />
registration deadline<br />
A third conference call held after registration<br />
deadline usually about 2 weeks before games<br />
– Sport Chair invited to deal with passing<br />
information about specific games, Provincial<br />
Advisor deals with transportation, final<br />
registration issues and any questions that<br />
parents have<br />
