It is highly recommended to keep accessories and disposables
with you in case of an emergency. This enables you to change
these items if necessary. Such an emergency kit should contain:

jj A new AA alkaline or lithium battery
jj An Accu-Chek Spirit 3.15 ml Cartridge System
jj An insulin pen or syringe for alternative therapy
jj A vial of insulin

Treatment for low blood glucose levels
jj Blood glucose monitoring equipment
(such as an Accu-Chek blood glucose meter)
jj A disinfectant for skin
jj A battery key
jj A battery cover
jj An adapter

Make sure that you have an alternative therapy plan, provided
by your healthcare professional. Use this plan whenever you
need to interrupt pump therapy.
