Low tide is the perfect time for raccoons to find food.<br />

It is low tide. That means the water is low.<br />
Now we can see another animal that lives among<br />
the mangroves, the raccoon. Most of the time it<br />
comes out only at night. But it has adapted or<br />
changed its schedule for food.<br />
The raccoon can find its favorite food at low<br />
tide. Look at the mangrove roots now that more<br />
of them are sticking out of the water. Hundreds,<br />
maybe thousands, of coon oysters are clinging to<br />
them. That is the raccoon’s favorite food.<br />
