The Brown Pelican<br />
Pink shrimp are food for bigger fish. So lots<br />
of fish live here, too. And the fish are part of the<br />
mangrove food chain. That means that bigger<br />
animals eat the fish.<br />
Let’s meet one animal that feeds on the fish.<br />
There is another nursery at the very top of the<br />
mangrove. It is the home of the brown pelican<br />
and its chicks.<br />
The brown pelican makes its nest at the very<br />
top of the mangrove. Its chicks are safe there.<br />
