The transportation manager for the State <strong>of</strong> New Jersey has determined that the time between<br />
arrivals at a toll booth on the state’s turnpike is exponentially distributed with λ = 3 cars per minute.<br />
Find the probability that it will take at most 20 seconds for another car to arrive at the toll booth.<br />
Question Six (3+2 =5 points)<br />
Twenty microprocessor chips are in stock at Hussain <strong>and</strong> Sons Computer Company. Three chips<br />
have etching errors that cannot be detected by the naked eye. Five chips are selected <strong>and</strong><br />
installed in desktop PC computers.<br />
a. Find the probability that at least one chip with an etching error will be chosen<br />
b. Find the probability that only the first two chips with an etching error will be chosen
