To Replace Slide Plate<br />
Replace the slide plate from the right,<br />
as shown in Fig. 35, being careful to<br />
see that the two ends of the spring BB<br />
enter the grooves on the underside of<br />
the slide plate.<br />

The Belt should be only just tight enough not to slip. If too loose, shorten and<br />
rejoin.<br />
Breaking of Needles Might be Caused by:<br />
1. Improper size of needle for thread and material -- see page 11.<br />
2. Bent needle.<br />
3. Pulling material when stitching.<br />
4. Needle striking an improperly fastened presser foot.<br />
5. Crossing too thick seams with too small a needle.<br />
