NO “DEADBAND”
The sensing element in the Kimray
Thermostat is a bi-metalic probe. The outer
tube is 304 stainless steel, and the inner
rod is low expansion nickel. The expansion
rates due to heat in both the metals are very
consistent which provides smooth, proportional
output -- throttling action.
When the thermostat is installed with its
probe completely surrounded by the liquid
or gas it is monitoring, there is virtually no
deadband.
Other types of thermostats providing such
control cost considerably more, and lack the
simplicity.
In describing the Kimray Thermostat folks
have said,
“IT’S LIKE A CADILLAC THERMOSTAT
AT A CHEVY PRICE!”
