Young Talent of the year 2009
April 16, 2009: Lucknow
Winners pose at Young Talent of the Year 2009
With the objective to assimilate fresh ideas from
the young talents to fulfill the state’s objectives, a
debate competition was organized in association
with WLC College India, Lucknow. The topic of
debate was “Will facilitation of Industrial
Development lead to fulfilling the State objective:
‘Sarvjan Hitaay, Sarvjan Sukhaay’”
The team from Babu Banarsi Das National Institute
of Technology and Management won the first prize,
while WLC College India - Lucknow Campus was
the 1st runner up and IILM Academy for Higher
Learning was the 2nd runner up. Other teams
participating in the competition were International
Business School; Department of Economics,
Lucknow University; IMRT Business School and
IILM Business School. The participants were
judged on various criteria ranging from content,
body language, delivery / expression, semantics /
linguistics to refutation.

Employability through
Skill Development in Knowledge
Economy

& Industrial Development Commissioner, Government of Uttar Pradesh

CII Uttar Pradesh in association with Indian
Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee organized an
event with the objective to help the industry share
its concerns for trained manpower in diverse
disciplines; and the academia - be able to impart
content and knowledge to the technical manpower
– making India – a rich supply pool for technical
manpower.
DPS Students - Session on
Entrepreneurship, Tree Plantation &
visit to TCS
May 11, 2009: Lucknow
Aiming to promote Entrepreneurship among
students CII Uttar Pradesh organized a learning
session with Mr G R Mishra, Managing Director –
GIMI Engineering (P) Ltd acquainting students
from Delhi Public School at its office in Lucknow.
About 65 students from the intermediate section of
the school took part in the initiative. Mr Mishra also
encouraged students to achieve the desired goal,
towards becoming a successful entrepreneur.
Awareness Session on Modular
Employable Skills

In an attempt to educate the industry and other
stakeholders on the Modular Employable Skills
(MES) Schemes, an awareness session on
Modular Employable Skils Scheme was organized.
Mr B.L. Meena, Director, Training & Employment,
Uttar Pradesh and Mr Jayant Krishna, Vice
Chairman, CII Uttar Pradesh State interacted with
the participants on Modular Employable Skills.
The session was well attended by over 40 industry
delegates from auto, manufacturing, consumer
durables, social development, agriculture & food
processing sectors, from all across Uttar Pradesh.
