conference on "MSME's in Challenging Times" at<br />

Lucknow. Innovation & risk-taking ability are features<br />

unique to the MSME sector, these must be leveraged,<br />

Commissioner, Govt of UP highlighted the services<br />

provided by the MSME - Development Institutes at<br />

Agra, Allahabad & Kanpur.<br />

Mr Ramesh Suri, Chairman, <strong>CII</strong> <strong>Uttar</strong> <strong>Pradesh</strong> said,<br />

"We the local producers should diversify in our existing<br />

areas of concern and look forward to catering to the<br />

Indian population which in itself is a big consumer<br />

Lucknow, Mr Anil Shukla, Head, <strong>CII</strong> UP State Office<br />

Confederation of Indian Industry’s exclusive exposition on<br />

air conditioning and refrigeration, COOLEX <strong>2009</strong>, was<br />

organized in Lucknow. The 12th edition of COOLEX <strong>2009</strong><br />

was inaugurated by Dr Dinesh Sharma, Mayor of<br />

Lucknow.<br />

Over the years the exposition has provided an<br />

established platform to generate exposure to<br />

contemporary technology, showcase the latest product<br />

offerings and gear up local industry for competition.<br />

The host of companies who participated in the exposition<br />

include Godrej & Boyce Mfg Co Ltd (Appl. Div), Hitachi<br />

<strong>CII</strong> Western UP Zone held its <strong>Annual</strong> Session &<br />

Conference on ‘Exploring opportunities in crisis’ at<br />

Noida. The session discussed the need to explore<br />

opportunities under the current economic crisis and<br />

shared views on the state of world economy. A need<br />

was felt for Government intervention to rescue the<br />

small and medium industry facing biggest challenge<br />

in the current global slow down.<br />
