Aims:

Quick measuring disposition:
• Computer performance is reserved to the AVL DiTEST
Software, installation of third-party software is not allowed
• Booting directly to the "CDS Manager"
• Standby mode
- fast turn on / turn off time
- periotic restarts keep the stability of the system
Hide the Windows look & feel:
• Differentiation between measuring- and service mode
- changing by rebooting the system
• Measuring mode
- elimination of Windows GUI and menus
- new operating concept with the CDS-taskbar
• Service mode
- access to not password protected functions (like system updates)
- access to password protected functions (i.e. control panel
for network administration

• No Windows explorer, no internet explorer
• System is not used as a network server
• Harddisk is used only by the system itself
• Data backup and transfer with external media (USB-stick)

Cleaning the Valve Plates
In case that the leaktest is not passed, a very
common reason is dirt on the rubber plates of
the pump valves.
This problem can easily be solved by cleaning
the valve plates:
- dismount the pump from the Gas 1000 housing
- remove the valve chambers from the pump
