CM 268-298-338 Mounted mowers ready for action The Vicon CM 268, CM 298 and CM 338 are proof that drum mowers certainly don’t have to be heavier than disc mowers with a comparable mowing width. The CM 268, CM 298 and CM 338 only weigh 645, 745 kg and 810 kg respectively. Already more than 12.000 CM 268 units have been sold all over the world. The unique combination of two large outer drums and two small inner drums results in the fastest possible crop transport. In addition, the CM 268 requires relatively little tractor power so it can also be used behind light tractors without front lift. The CM 298 sets the new standard in the field of capacity, service life and mowing quality. With a mowing width of 2.95 m and the characteristic double swath, the CM 298 is the ideal team mate for baler or forage wagon. The two large outer drums and two small inner drums result in an easy crop transfer and minimum tractor power requirements. With a mowing width of 3.30 m and four large equal size drums the CM 338 offers high capacity at minimum power requirements. A new head stock and sub frame enables working with bigger tractors and combinations with every kind of front mounted mowers. The patented quick blade exchange system has been adopted from the CMP series. Perfect weight distribution The large compensation springs effectively transfer a substantial part of the mower weight to the tractor. In combination with the freely rotating saucers that prevents swath damage. Transport You don’t have to leave the tractor seat to simply swing the CM 268, CM 298 and CM 338 drum mowers to transport position straight behind the tractor. A hydraulic cylinder is optionally available to fold up the machine next to or behind the tractor. The weight remains as closely as possible to the tractor so the tractor manoeuvrability is hardly or not affected.

A shear bolt in the horizontal drive shaft provides additional protection to the outer drums.
