Technique:<br />

Compoglass:<br />

1. Clean teeth with child-size toothbrush <strong>and</strong> water.<br />

2. Use cotton rolls for isolation <strong>and</strong> portable saliva ejector.<br />

3. Wash, <strong>the</strong>n dry.<br />

4. No acid etch<strong>in</strong>g.<br />

5. Apply bond<strong>in</strong>g agent, followed by 20 seconds <strong>of</strong> light-cur<strong>in</strong>g, a second layer <strong>of</strong> bond<strong>in</strong>g agent <strong>and</strong> ano<strong>the</strong>r 20 seconds<br />

<strong>of</strong> light-cur<strong>in</strong>g.<br />

6. Apply Compoglass with a suitable <strong>in</strong>strument, light-cure for 40 seconds.<br />

7. Occlusion check<br />

Fluoroshield:<br />

1. Clean teeth with child-size toothbrush <strong>and</strong> water.<br />

2. Use cotton rolls for isolation <strong>and</strong> portable saliva ejector.<br />

3. Wash, <strong>the</strong>n dry.<br />

4. Etch with phosphoric acid for 30 seconds.<br />

5. Apply sealant with a probe.<br />

6. Perform occlusion check.<br />

provided.<br />

3. No general recommendation for preventive preparation <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> tooth before seal<strong>in</strong>g; however, some <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> dentists<br />

used tapered f<strong>in</strong>e diamond fissure to remove enamel caries or sta<strong>in</strong>s <strong>and</strong> to ensure that <strong>the</strong> lesion did not reach dent<strong>in</strong><br />

before seal<strong>in</strong>g.<br />
