something, but I was shy. So my mum said she

She had just said ‘Dear diary’ on the paper. I saw
it was about her mother who was very sick. I told
would come with me to tell the principal because I
was worried that no one knew.
So my mum came with me to the principal and
she said she knew but that I could support the girl
by talking to her. Then I asked the girl if she was
feeling okay, and I told her, ‘If you need to talk about
anything I am here for you.’
I knew she would have so much sadness in her heart
so I tried to just let her know that I was there if she
wanted to talk. She didn’t, but I think just letting her
know that I am here for her – I think that is
important. She could talk to someone her age. She
didn’t talk, but she knew that I knew. I didn’t want to
push anything. But what if no one knew about it and
she kept it to herself I was feeling very terrible that
she was not talking to anyone and she was just
keeping on living life like she usually does.
