ANNUAL NURSING REPORT 2011 — QUALITY
At Hospital Week in 2011 we held a hospital-wide poster board day. Everyone who came through to
look at posters and speak with the nurses got to vote on which posters were the best. CNO Sheena
Ferguson awarded three additional winners of her choice.

We finished 2011 by planning several roll-outs for
2012: Including a series of educational classes for all
employees on PICO, evidence-based practice, PDSA
and research. These are classes that you will be able
to walk away with something to work on, whether it
be your question, finding evidence, or starting on a
project to solve a mystery in your practice. The
educational classes will also be offered by webinar.
A nursing research and evidence-based practice
website will be on the nursing page so that you
can access everything we have to offer here at our
institution that has to do with Research from
classes, conferences, and handouts to web links,
and an online journal club, etc.
We are studying several evidence-based practice
and research models to decide which one is the
best for our institution.
