Tasks
• Maintenance of the Centralised Airspace and Capacity Database
(CACD formally know as ENV)
The common aeronautical infrastructure database used primarily by
the NM operational systems
• Live updates (mainly in pre-tactical)
• AIRAC-related updates
• Pre-validations
• On ANSP request for major changes to the ATS infrastructure
• Production of the consolidated European Airspace Use Plan
(EAUP/EUUP) through CADF
The daily listing of Conditional Routes availability and activated
Restricted Airspaces, based on information received from the national
Airspace Management Cells (AMCs).

• e-AMI: electronic Airspace Management Information
• Similar to EAUP/EUUP, but in AIXM (Aeronautical Information
eXchange Model) format and in a Business to Business context.
• Available for testing purposes since 04/2010
• Used operationally by a number of Aircraft Operators and
Computer Flight Plan Service Providers since 01/2011.

Conclusion
• The accuracy and effectiveness of the NM operational systems
depends to a large extent on the correctness of the data input in
the CACD.
• Pre-validation exercises enable anticipated checking of FPL
processing and NM profiles prior to the operational
implementation of major ATS infrastructure changes.
• Each day the CADF in collaboration with the AMCs plays a
significant pre-tactical role by promulgating validated route and
airspace availability updates through the EAUP/EUUP.
