<strong>Application</strong> <strong>for</strong> <strong>Affiliation</strong><br />
Applicants <strong>for</strong> Financial Services Affiliate status should include a check <strong>for</strong> $450 with this completed application which<br />
includes a $100 non-refundable processing charge. Individuals employed by a firm with at least one other <strong>NAPFA</strong> member do<br />
not need to pay the processing fee. Applicants <strong>for</strong> Academic Affiliate status should include a check <strong>for</strong> $150 and applicants<br />
<strong>for</strong> Student Affiliate status should include a check <strong>for</strong> $100. Full-time college/university students in financial planning related<br />
degree programs are eligible <strong>for</strong> a 65% discount to the $100 annual dues. If an applicant is not accepted as a Financial Services<br />
Affiliate, $350 will be refunded. There is no application processing fee <strong>for</strong> Academic or Student Affiliates.<br />
Annual affiliate renewal takes place the month of your birth each year. Annual dues payable <strong>for</strong> a individual’s first renewal<br />
year will be prorated to reflect the month in which membership commenced, and to account <strong>for</strong> any dues discount available<br />
through multiple <strong>NAPFA</strong> memberships or affiliations in one firm.<br />

Financial Services Affiliate. By signing this document, an applicant certifies that he or she is a Fee-Only professional<br />
in a financial services or related industry.<br />
Academic Affiliate. By signing this document, an applicant certifies that he or she is a faculty member in a financial<br />
planning program or a related field at an accredited institution of higher learning.<br />
Student Affiliate. By signing this document, an applicant certifies that he or she is a student enrolled in an academic<br />
course of study in pursuit of a degree/designation that will lead to a financial planning career. The student may be employed<br />
by a Fee-Only financial planning firm. An applicant further certifies that he/she is a degree/designation candidate at the<br />
accredited institution of higher learning named above. Applicants <strong>for</strong> this category of affiliation are not required to have this<br />
document notarized.<br />
