The Holy Qur’an
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Ever Merciful
63. Watch over Prayers, and the middle
Prayer, and stand before Allah submissively.
بِسْمِ‏ هللاِ‏ الرَّحْ‏ مَٰنِ‏ الرَّحِيمِ‏
(Ch. 2: V. 239)
Hadith
O Allah, bless Muhammad and his people, as You did bless Ibrahim and his people—You are indeed the Praiseworthy, the Exalted.
O Allah, prosper Muhammad and his people, as You did prosper Ibrahim and his people—You are indeed the Praiseworthy, the Exalted.
Hadrat Abū Huriarah narrates that the Holy Prophet said, “Our Lord
descends every night to the lowest heaven when the last third of the night remains, and He
says, ‘Who will call Me that I might answer him Who will ask of Me that I might give
him Who will ask My forgiveness, that I might forgive him”
(Tirmidhi)
Writings of the Promised Messiah (as)
When you stand up in prayer, you should know it for certain that your God has the
power to do all that He wills. Then your prayer will be accepted and you will behold
the wonders of God’s power that we have beheld. Our testimony is based on seeing and
is not a mere tale. How should the supplication of a person be accepted and how should
he have the courage to pray at the time of great difficulties when according to him he is
opposed by the law of nature, unless he believes that God has power over everything
You should not be like that. Your God is One Who has suspended numberless stars
without any support and Who has created heaven and earth from nothing. Then would
you think so ill of Him as to imagine that your objective is beyond His power Such
thinking will frustrate you. Our God possesses numberless wonders, but only those observe
them who become wholly. His with sincerity and fidelity. He does not disclose.
His wonders to those who do not believe in His powers and are not faithful to Him.
Short Summaries of Friday Sermons
3 rd February 2012 – Allah is with those who are righteous and do good
Taqwa is the basis for attaining nearness to God
Hudhur (aba) said that in order to manifest His Power, at times, God grants a righteous person more than the others in
similar circumstances
If the Divine qualities of Rabubiyyat and Rahmaniyyat (Divine quality of being Gracious) were not in motion, life would be
impossible even for a moment.
Those who do good for the sake of God’s pleasure are the righteous
Hudhur (aba) explained the concept of Mohsineen
True Righteousness and Ignorance cannot subsist together
10 th February 2012 – Al Fatihah – the Essence of Qur’anic Teachings
Hudhur (aba) said Surah Fatihah is read in every Salat and in Hadith it is also called Surah Salat
Hudhur (aba) (aba) expounded the second verse of the Surah: ‘All praise belongs to Allah, Lord of all the
worlds.’ (1:2) in light of the august writings of the Promised Messiah (on whom be peace)
Hudhur (aba) explained that one cannot reach the profound meanings of these writings by listening to them once
In order to acquire a correct insight into the writings of the Imam of the age and to benefit from them it is important to
study these as well
May God enable us to attain insight of Divine attributes in accordance to the wishes of the Promised Messiah (on whom
be peace) so that we may mould our lives in line with God’s commandments
17 th February 2012 – Khalifatul Masih II – a leader to emulate
The main subject of his sermon was the great prophecy of Hadhrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, the Promised Messiah and Mahdi
(on whom be peace), concerning the Promised Reformer (Musleh Maud).
This prophecy was fulfilled in the person of Hadrat Mirza Mahmud Ahmad (1889-1965), the second successor to the
Promised Messiah, peace be on him
Yaum Musleh Maud (The Promised Reformer Day) is celebrated in the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community every year so that
members become familiar with the details of the fulfilment of this great prophecy
It is not a birthday celebration as it is celebrated on the day of the prophecy (20 February 1886) and not the day of
the birth of the blessed son which was 12 January 1889
24 th February 2012 – Purpose of Mosques
Today Hudhur (aba) inaugurated a new mosque ‘Baitul Wahid’ in Feltham [near London] and delivered his Friday sermon
from there
Hudhur (aba) said that any person belonging to any religion or no religion can come to a mosque.
God states that when you go to the mosque for His worship, once the call for Salat is made, all your thoughts should be
focussed towards being a true servant of God.
Hudhur (aba) said he would like to once again remind that the due of a mosque is not met by contributing thousands of
pounds. The real objective is achieved by populating it and populating it purely for the sake of God and His worship.
TARBIYYAT
Thursday’s voluntary fast
Every local Jama’at can make their own
decision to set a day for the optional fast,
but it would be better if one day is chosen
in the local Jama’at, preferbably a Monday
or a Thursday.
(Friday Sermon 14th Oct 2011)
Ahmadīs in Pakistan have shown extraordinary
patience and resilience in the face
of severe persecution. These sacrifices
and these emotions can only bear fruit if
we fall down before Allāh and wet our
prayer mats with tears ... Let us, therefore,
pray with deep anguish and fervour so
that our prayers are heard.
(Friday Sermon 7th Nov 2011)
I appealed to the Jama’at to pray that we
are safeguarded from the animosities and
hostilities of these cruel people, I also
appealed that we should pray that Allah
Almighty cleanses the country of such
people who cause disorder and oppression
so that this country (Pakistan) can
be saved.
INNER PARK ACTIVITIES in FEBRUARY 2012
Inner Park - attending lecture on Hajj and visit to Hajj Exhibition at British Museum
Six of our Khuddam went to a lecture in UCL (University College London) on Friday, 10 th February 2012 departing
from Southfields Station at 16:30. The lecture started at 18:00 and the topic was on Hajj. There were members attending
from the Jama’at and a few others also came to gain knowledge on the concept of Hajj.
After the lecture was over we all walked to the British Museum which wasn’t far away from UCL and we were most
impressed with the exhibition they had displayed. The exhibition showed the history of Hajj and the challenges of
those who performed the pilgrimage. With beautiful and historic artefacts, scripts and pictures alongside their descriptions
made this exhibition highly interesting.
The exhibition showed how the pilgrims travelled and how Hajj evolved from a journey of a few days from some
surrounding areas to only a matter of an hour’s journey to the holy city of Mecca, the exhibition also showed the
spiritual aspects of the place and the rituals which were and are still performed from the time of the Prophet Muhammad
(saw). The lecture and Hajj exhibition went a long way to widen our knowledge about Hajj.
May Allah gives us more opportunities to attend these events.
In the previous month, Inner Park created 1 video viral about the
upcoming Regional Ijtema on 18th March 2012. This viral was uploaded
