7. Encourage shires, other government agencies <strong>and</strong> private l<strong>and</strong>holders to recognise<br />

the importance <strong>of</strong> visual resource management by sensitive siting <strong>of</strong> facilities <strong>and</strong><br />

signs, selection <strong>of</strong> site compatible materials <strong>and</strong> colours, <strong>and</strong> careful planning <strong>and</strong><br />

siting <strong>of</strong> utilities, jetties <strong>and</strong> roads.<br />

8. As part <strong>of</strong> redevelopment plans for recreation sites, redesign or modify cul-de-sac<br />

parking areas to improve site efficiency <strong>and</strong> reduce visual impacts.<br />

9. Close <strong>and</strong> rehabilitate coastal tracks that are not needed.<br />

10. Ensure all road construction is carried out in a visually sensitive manner.<br />

11. Develop all signs in accordance with CALM's Sign Manual <strong>and</strong> encourage the<br />

sensitive use <strong>of</strong> signs in areas adjacent to the <strong>Park</strong>.<br />
