5. Investigate use <strong>of</strong> volunteers to help in weed mapping <strong>and</strong> control programs.<br />
6. Liaise with adjacent l<strong>and</strong>holders to minimise fertiliser drift into the <strong>Park</strong>.<br />
7. Avoid unnecessary disturbance associated with management actions, such as road<br />
maintenance <strong>and</strong> frequent burning, particularly adjacent to sources <strong>of</strong> weeds.<br />
8. Ensure that all earth-moving machinery is thoroughly cleaned before entering the<br />
<strong>Park</strong>.<br />
9. Liaise with townspeople to discourage garden cultivation <strong>of</strong> any species which may<br />
be a threat to the <strong>Park</strong>.<br />
10. Remove exotic trees where considered necessary. If the trees are to be taken under<br />
licence <strong>and</strong> sold, follow the approval conditions <strong>of</strong> the CALM Act.<br />
Research <strong>and</strong> Monitoring<br />
11. Monitor known priority flora populations for weed invasion. Take control measures<br />
as necessary.<br />
12. Monitor weed invasion. Use the results to modify management practices or instigate<br />
control measures. Monitor results <strong>of</strong> control methods.<br />
12.0 FERAL ANIMALS<br />
BACKGROUND<br />
Foxes, dogs, Kookaburras, cats, pigs <strong>and</strong> rabbits occur in the <strong>Park</strong>. Nonetheless, the full extent <strong>of</strong><br />
feral animals in the <strong>Park</strong> is unknown. Fauna particularly susceptible to feral animals include the<br />
Noisy Scrub-bird, Honey Possum, Quokka, Chuditch, Pygmy Possum, Common Brushtail Possum<br />
<strong>and</strong> Western Ringtail Possum.<br />
