The rear grab bar is securely attached and is
mounted at 33" to the center of the bar above
and parallel to the floor (for tank type toilets, 36"
may be allowed if tank obstructs placement of
bar within 1-1/2" between the grab bar and the
top of the tank). Side bar begins a max. of 12"
from back wall. Area directly above grab bars or
proposed grab bars is free of protruding
obstructions to a height of 18" (recessed items
are allowed).
18" minimum from center of fixture to side wall
or partition. 27" high x 8" deep knee clearance
under front lip. Drain and piping is insulated or
configured to prevent contact.
40" max. height to all other fixtures (i.e., soap
dispensers, towels, toilet seat covers, auto
dryers, sanitary napkins, waste recepatacles,
etc.).
The center of electrical receptacles or controls,
and switches to control lighting, heating, cooling
& appliances are 48" max. above the floor or
working platform. The center of electrical outlets
intended to be used by the room occupant are
located a min. of 15" above the floor or working
platform.
Relocate both grab bars.
Relocate the toilet paper
dispenser away from the top of
the grab bar.
Relocate existing lavatory.
Insulate pipes under lavatory.
Lower the paper towel
dispenser. Lower the soap
dispenser.
