system description
Modular and transportable, the Harris TOCs
are easily customized for the mission
The equipment for the Light, Medium, and Heavy TOCs is
provided in stackable transit case (T-case) configurations,
rather than in permanently mounted racks. This allows
exceptional deployment flexibility, since T-cases are easily deployed
into a tent, airlifted, or transported in a shelter or vehicle.
Equipment is efficiently managed via one- or two-man lift, instead
of the forklift which can be required with racks. Perhaps most
importantly, the equipment is not tied to a particular vehicle or
shelter which could be sidelined with maintenance issues, so the
TOC capability is always available.
Command Center Modules
The Command Center Modules provide infrastructure services;
command and control (C2) services including situational
awareness, telephony and video teleconferencing (VTC) for the
operations center staff; and system configuration management
and monitoring capabilities. They connect to the communications
modules via security appliances, allowing the use of VPN and
protecting the CCM with a firewall and spam filter.
Communications Modules
The Mission Secure Communications Module (MS-CM) contains
tactical communications equipment including HF combat net
radios, UHF/VHF advanced waveform radios, and VHF CNR radios.
A Harris Tactical Hub is included for telephony operation of the
radios. The Mission Non-Secure Communications Module (MN-
CM) provides unclassified Internet and public infrastructure access.
The separation of strategic communications assets and tactical
radios is made possible by a customer-supplied IP encryptor.
