Pipescan is an easy to
use, cost effective, portable
magnetic flux leakage inspection
system for the
detection of random
internal corrosion in pipe
runs. The latest magnetic
material coupled with
unique mechanical designs
enables coverage of all
pipe diameters from 50mm
to 2.4 metres with a limited
number of scanning heads.
Unlike some inspection
methods, MFL is not
affected by product flowing
through the pipe runs so
surveys can be carried out
both on-line and off-line.
Use of Pipescan, with its
high probability of
detection, to locate actual
internal corrosion, coupled
with A scan ultrasonic
monitoring of corrosion
growth, provides a cost
effective accurate system
for the determination of

PIPE WALL / TANK WALL SCANNERS
Scorpion BP Option is a rugged
remote access crawler designed
to allow cost effective ultrasound
thickness measurements on
above ground ferro-magnetic
structures. The Scorpian system
comes in two options, dry coupled
(DCP) or irrigated (BP).
The remote access crawler comes
supplied with an irrigated dual
5MHz transducer fed from a pressurised
stainless steel reservoir.
Complete with any ultrasonic system,
a 30 metre umbilical cable
with water feed allows access to
the top of the highest storage tank
for remote access measurements.
Powered by Sitemaster 30 battery
pack the system is capable of 8
hours continuous operation on a
single charge.

Scorpion DCP Option is a rugged
remote access crawler designed to
allow cost effective ultrasound
thickness measurements on above
ground ferro-magnetic structure
The remote access crawler uses a
unique "Dry Coupled" wheel probe
eliminating the need for traditional
couplant. This allows the crawler to
travel vertically, horizontally or
even inverted whilst still fully
functional.
Compatible with ANY ultrasonic
system, a 50 metre umbilical cable
allows access to the furthest point
of most structures without the need
for scaffolding. Powered by the
Sitemaster 30 battery pack, the
system is capable of 8 hours
continuous operation on a single
charge.
