AN/VRC-110 Dual Systems
The AN/VRC-110 is a series of fully integrated, high-performance
dual multiband vehicular radio systems that include the
AN/PRC-152(C) SCA-based handheld radio, power amplifier,
and integrated handheld battery charger . AN/VRC-110 systems
provide the ideal combination of long-range mounted power
with the flexibility for on-the-fly dismounted applications . For
increased communications reliability, the AN/VRC-110 provides
50 watts in the 30 to 90 MHz frequency range under demanding
VSWR conditions . Multiple power output options are available
in the 90 to 512 MHz band .
Each amplifier features separate VHF and UHF antenna ports
with automatic port switching, providing the AN/VRC-110
with true multimission capability . The operator only needs to
select the required net on the radio to switch between ground
communications, ground-to-air, or SATCOM communications .
The first antenna port provides a 50-watt output from 30 to
90 MHz . The second antenna port provides a 20 watt output
from 90 to 512 MHz, with 50 watts in the SATCOM bands .
Other features provided by the AN/VRC-110 include: an integrated
handheld battery charger (battery remains attached to
the radio) with simultaneous operation and charging, quick
disconnect (the handheld can remain powered on while being
removed from vehicle system), VIC-1 and VIC-3 interface, and
heatsinking for an extended-use duty cycle . The AN/VRC-110
interfaces to the standard MT-6352 SINCGARS install kit .
