a. Secondary school records. Send a complete, year-by-year, official record of all schooling beyond the<br />

ninth year of education, including any certificates or diplomas earned. An English translation is required in<br />

addition to the originals and must be completed by a credible transcript translation organization.<br />

b. <strong>College</strong> or university records (if applicable). Send a complete, year-by-year, official record of academic<br />

performance for all post-secondary schooling including any certificates or diplomas earned. An English<br />

translation is required in addition to the originals and must be completed by a credible transcript<br />

translation organization.<br />

Note that for admission to <strong>Peru</strong> <strong>State</strong>, average marks during schooling and on final examinations must be<br />

a minimum 2.0 grade point average in the <strong>Peru</strong> <strong>State</strong> grading system. In the <strong>Peru</strong> <strong>State</strong> grading system, A<br />

is 4.0, B is 3.0, C is 2.0, D is 1.0, and F is 0.0.<br />

International students may need to send their transcripts to an international credentials evaluation service for<br />

evaluation. Students will be notified by the Office of Admissions if this is necessary and will be sent a list of<br />

agencies that perform this service. The cost will depend upon the type and complexity of the evaluation and is<br />

the responsibility of the student.<br />

4. Provide evidence of English language proficiency. Students must provide proof of English language proficiency<br />

in one of the following ways:<br />

a. Official TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) score report showing a minimum score of 550<br />

on the paper based test with no section score lower than 56 points or 79 internet-based test with no<br />

section score lower than 22 points. Scores must be within the past two years to be official.<br />

b. Official IELTS score report showing a minimum score of 6.5 Scores must be within the past two years to<br />

be official.<br />

c. Students who have graduated from an accredited high school in the U.S. may satisfy this requirement by<br />

providing an official high school transcript along with two letters of recommendation from high school<br />

faculty/administrators regarding proficiency in English language skills.<br />

d. Students transferring to <strong>Peru</strong> <strong>State</strong> after one (or more) years of full-time enrollment at a college/university<br />

in the United <strong>State</strong>s may satisfy this requirement by providing official transcripts verifying a cumulative<br />

grade point average equivalent to 2.0 on a 4.0 scale along with two letters of recommendation from current<br />

college faculty regarding proficiency in English language skills. One letter should be from an English<br />

instructor where possible.<br />

e. Citizens of Canada, Australia, England, Ireland, New Zealand, Scotland, or Wales are exempt from this<br />

requirement.<br />

5. The <strong>College</strong> recommends but does not require submitting American <strong>College</strong> Test (ACT) score to the Office of<br />

Admissions. The test scores will not be used in determining admission to the <strong>College</strong>, but will be used for<br />

awarding scholarships and for advising purposes.<br />

6. Complete the <strong>Peru</strong> <strong>State</strong> International Medical Records Form. This information is not used to evaluate an<br />

applicant for admission to <strong>College</strong>. The completed form is part of your confidential medical history which is<br />

used should medical treatment become necessary. Proof of medical immunizations is required for admission.<br />

7. Complete the <strong>Peru</strong> <strong>State</strong> <strong>State</strong>ment of Financial Support. This form is available through myPSC. Students<br />

must submit a completed form along with documentation from a financial institution showing the availability<br />

of financial support for the dollar amount indicated on the form for the first year at <strong>Peru</strong> <strong>State</strong>.<br />

Upon admission to <strong>Peru</strong> <strong>State</strong>, the student will be sent a Form I-20. The prospective student then takes the I-20<br />

and other supporting academic and financial documents to the nearest United <strong>State</strong>s embassy or consulate to<br />

apply for an F-1 (student) visa.<br />
