Finally Evelyn looked up from the table and glanced at the two with
bitterness and mouthed some words to Victoria that took her by surprise.
Victoria responded back to this in a harsh and non- caring tone,
“You know damn well this is your fault at why this relationship didn’t work
out. It’s the same with every relationship you have. You spend more time
with your pet robot than with the man you apparently are in love with. You
put that thing first before anyone.” She leaned forward to her and with a
spiteful smirk, “May I suggest you get rid of that thing before someone else
does…or maybe before it gets rid of you. It’ll abandon you like everyone
else.”
Evelyn stood up quickly from the table slamming both her hands on
the table, “Anwell will never leave me or betray me like any of you! And
you know why Because he is more human than the two of you combined.”
Evelyn grabbed her purse from the table and stormed out of the
restaurant. She wanted to cry so badly but couldn’t. When she got to her
apartment, she sat down on the staircase. She had sat there all night.
