For Multiple Principal Investigators:<br />

The applicant, whether a single organization or team/partnership/consortium, must<br />

indicate if the project will include multiple PIs. The decision to use multiple PIs for a<br />

project is the sole responsibility <strong>of</strong> the applicant. If multiple PIs will be designated, the<br />

application must identify the Contact PI/Project Coordinator and provide a<br />

“Coordination and Management Plan” that describes the organization structure <strong>of</strong> the<br />

project as it pertains to the designation <strong>of</strong> multiple PIs. This plan should, at a minimum,<br />

It is very important that the Project Abstract and Project Narrative file used during<br />

the Merit Review Process do not contain any Personally Identifiable Information as<br />

described in Appendix B.<br />

Note: The maximum file size that can be uploaded to the EERE Exchange website is<br />

10MB. Files in excess <strong>of</strong> 10MB cannot be uploaded, and, hence, cannot be submitted<br />

for review. If a file exceeds 10MB, but is still within the maximum page limit specified<br />

in the FOA it must be broken into parts and denoted to that effect.<br />

(e.g. ControlNumber_LeadOrganization_Project_Part_1, Part_2, etc.)<br />

6. Budget File<br />

SF 424 A Excel, Budget Information – Non-Construction Programs File<br />

You must provide a separate budget for each year <strong>of</strong> support requested and a cumulative<br />

budget for the total project period. Use the SF 424 A Excel, “Budget Information – Non<br />

Construction Programs” form on the EERE Exchange website at https://eereexchange.energy.gov.<br />

The SF424A provides columns for each indiviual budget-year as well<br />

as the commulative project-budget.<br />
