EXECUTIVE RESOLUTIONS:
E-AS-11-54 07/12/11
Authorizes the Absentee Shawnee Health
Authority to amend the compact with the Indian
Health Service to include services to non-Indian
beneficiaries.

George Blanchard as designated Tribal Officials
to verify and certify Indian Preference Forms and
other documents concerning Tribal Enrollment
and Membership.

Authorizes and approves the change of bank account
signers on all bank accounts at BancFirst;
all investment accounts including, but not limited
to, LPL Financial (Linsco Private Ledger) and
Merrill Lynch; and all Bureau of Indian Affairs
accounts for the Absentee Shawnee Tribe of
Indians of Oklahoma to include the Executive
Committee members as follows: Lieutenant
Governor Isaac Gibson, Jr., Secretary Teri Reed,
Treasurer Kathy Deere, and Representative Jeff
Gibson and removing Michelle Lopez from all
accounts, EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY.

Oklahoma to Vicki Sue Wilson provided that
she is accepted into the Sac & Fox Nation of
Oklahoma.

to Matthew Aaron Butler,a minor, provided he is

Approves and authorizes the Treasurer’s Office
and Finance Department to establish a bank
account at AllNations Bank titled “General Fund”
with the signature requirements and authorized
signers being the same as Tribal bank accounts
to include the Executive Committee members as
follows: Lieutenant Governor Isaac Gibson, Jr.
, Secretary Teri Reed, Treasurer Kathy Deere,
and Representative Jeff Gibson, effective immediately.
LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTIONS:
L-AS-11-07 07/12/11
Authorizes a corporate credit card for Secretary
Teri Reed of the Absentee Shawnee Tribe of
Indians of Oklahoma and cancelling the corporate
credit card for Michelle Lopez, EFFECTIVE IM-
MEDIATELY. ($5,000.00 limit)
L-AS-11-08 07/20/11
Approves and authorizes an additional investment
in an REIT (Real Estate Investment Trust)
Fund by recommendation of Linsco Private
Ledger, the Absentee Shawnee Tribe’s investment
advisor, in the sum of Fifty Thousand
Dollars ($50,000.00) to One Hundred Thousand
Dollars ($100,000.00) to be made from the
General Fund.

Approves and authorizes an increase in the
Sponsored Programs clothing line item only
budget in the sum of Sixty Thousand Dollars and
No Cents ($60,000.00) to anticipate the need of
new enrollees per the blood quantum change.

CORNER.....

Hello to all Absentee-Shawnee tribal members,
elders, soon to be elders but don’t want to admit
it and to our younger people who want to know
what we old folks have been up to! My sincere
apologies for not submitting informational articles
for our newspaper for such a long time but let’s
be honest here we have had problems with our
newspaper deadlines for some time now but at
this point in time, we have all been assured by
the announcement on the front page of the July
newspaper that the regular deadline is now firmly
established to be the 25th of each month. In the
months past, the deadline was changed so much
that our news would be over a month old when
finally published and received! I will do my best
to submit information on a regular basis in the
future. For now, I will offer a recap on meetings
past. The January 15, 2011 meeting was held
at the Resource Center in Little Axe and the high
point of the meeting was the election of officers.
Dan Little Axe. Sr. was elected President. Gene
Parker, Vice President, Betty Watson, Treasurer,
and I am happy to say that I maintain my position
as Secretary. A quorum was established with 30
members present. Invocation was given by Mildred
Switch. Birthdays were recognized for Gene
Parker and Stella Little. Minutes of the December
18, 2010 and October 12, 2010 meetings were
approved. A fund raiser 50/50 raffle was held and
won by Frankie Watson. A chili/stew fund raiser
of January 14th held at the Title VI Building in
Shawnee had earned $276 for the council. The
financial report for the month of December 2010
was given and the Elders account was reported
