Monitor per<strong>for</strong>mance<br />
As the <strong>in</strong>dividual with overall responsibility <strong>for</strong> the success of Integrated<strong>Ethics</strong><br />
<strong>in</strong> your facility, it’s your job to ensure that your facility achieves the program’s<br />
implementation goals and completes assessment tools—you’ll report<br />
per<strong>for</strong>mance monitors to VISN leadership. You’re also responsible <strong>for</strong><br />
monitor<strong>in</strong>g whether action is taken on f<strong>in</strong>d<strong>in</strong>gs from the facility workbook and<br />
staff survey and whether appropriate progress is made toward implement<strong>in</strong>g<br />
Integrated<strong>Ethics</strong> effectively.<br />
Network externally<br />
Along with the Integrated<strong>Ethics</strong> Program Officer, you’ll share <strong>in</strong><strong>for</strong>mation<br />
about your function’s activities, best practices, and lessons learned through a<br />
series of national teleconferences and other <strong>for</strong>ums.<br />
On the follow<strong>in</strong>g pages, you’ll f<strong>in</strong>d a timel<strong>in</strong>e and brief descriptions of the specific<br />
tasks associated with your responsibilities and those of the program officer and<br />
coord<strong>in</strong>ators of the other core functions of Integrated<strong>Ethics</strong>. All of these tasks<br />
should be completed dur<strong>in</strong>g the <strong>in</strong>itial implementation phase; thereafter, many of the<br />
activities will need to be repeated periodically and/or ma<strong>in</strong>ta<strong>in</strong>ed.<br />
