5. Student Tuition
Motion to approve the annual estimated tuition rate for the 2013/2014 school
year as follows:
Middle School - $12,871. High School - $13,839.
6. Shared Services Agreement – Educational Information Resource Center (EIRC)
Motion to approve a Shared Services Purchasing Agreement with EIRC.

Motion to approve a new student activity account for the Math National Honor

9. Food Service Management
Motion to approve and authorize the Business Administrator to renew the contract
with Maschio for the period of September 1, 2013 to June 30, 2014:
• North Warren agrees to pay Maschio an increase of 1.5% annual
administrative fee of $10,450, for the 2013/2014 school year.
• In the event Maschio’s annual statement reflects anything less than a
$15,000 profit, Maschio will pay the School Food Authority (NWR) the
difference between the actual and the guaranteed profit.
• Set the school “Type A” lunch price at $2.85 per meal and $3.10 per meal
premium lunch.
• Set Ala Carte menu prices as attached.
Note: No change in lunch prices.

3. Bullying Coordinator Stipend – T. Ritchie
Motion to approve a stipend amount of $7,500.00 for Tina Ritchie as Bullying
Coordinator for the 2013/2014 school year, as recommended by the
Superintendent.
4. Family Medical Leave of Absence – B. Kazimierczak
Motion to approve an unpaid Family Medical Leave (FMLA) for Barbara
Kazimierczak effective May 7, 2013 through June 21, 2013.
5. Substitute Teacher - Math
Motion to appoint Emily Blanchette, as a substitute Math Teacher, from
May 28, 2013 until June 21, 2013, at a rate of $75.00 per day, as recommended by
the Superintendent.

6. Long-term Substitute Teacher - Science
Motion to appoint Stanley P. Pazden, Jr., as a long-term substitute Science
Teacher (Step 1, BA, $50,185.00) from September 1, 2013 – June 30, 2014, as
recommended by the Superintendent.
7. 6 th Period Stipend – S. Bonney
Motion to approve a prorated 6 th period stipend for Sara Jean Bonney, from
June 3, 2013 until June 21, 2013.

Motion to approve the following substitute custodian for the 2012/2013 academic
year at a rate of $10.00 an hour:

Motion to approve the use of school equipment for the participation of two NWR
students in the Robeson Classic All-Star Football game to be held in June 2013.

12. Resolution – NJ School Boards Association Insurance Group
Motion to approve the following Resolution:
WHEREAS, the New Jersey School Boards Association Insurance Group
(NJSBAIG) Board of Trustees approved proposed amendments to its Bylaws at a
public meeting on March 20, 2013 in accordance with Article IX (C) of the current
NJSBAIG Bylaws; and
WHEREAS, the current NJSBAIG Bylaws require for the proposed
amendments to be approved by member school district; and
WHEREAS, seventy-five percent (3/4) of the member school districts must
approve the proposed amendments within one hundred eight (180) days of the
hearing on the amendments:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that at a regular meeting of the
North Warren Regional Board of Education held on May 20, 2013, the Board does
hereby approve the proposed amendments to the NJSBAIG Bylaws.

13. Affirmative Action Officer Appointment – L. Melchor
Motion to approve the following Resolution:
WHEREAS, an affirmative action complaint has been filed and is being
investigated by Louis Melchor, the District Affirmative Action Officer; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Brian Fogelson, the Superintendent of Schools is required to
participate and render a decision on any appeal of the Affirmative Action
Officer’s decision; and
WHEREAS, the Board has determined that Dr. Brian Fogelson may not
participate in the appeal of any decision by the Affirmative Action Officer due to
a conflict of interest; and
WHEREAS, any action which may be necessary by the Board as a
consequence of the Affirmative Action investigation requires the recommendation
of the Superintendent; and
WHEREAS, Louis Melchor possesses a certificate of eligibility to act as a
superintendent and has agreed for the limited purpose of implementing the
Board’s affirmative action policy to act as Acting Superintendent.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board hereby appoints
Louis Melchor as the Acting Superintendent for the limited purpose of
implementing the Board’s affirmative action policy.
