freshman record in the 1500-meters twice<br />

during his first season…His time of 3:43.54<br />

at the Mt. Sac relays took over the 23-<br />

year old record held by John Quade <strong>and</strong><br />

qualified him for the NCAA West Regionals…<br />

There, he earned a spot at the NCAA National<br />

Championships by finishing fourth <strong>and</strong> beating<br />

his own record in a time of 3:42.04…Also earned<br />

All-Conference honors with his fifth place finish<br />

at the Pac-10 Championships…Was a point<br />

scoring individual for the UA cross country team<br />

<strong>and</strong> competed sparingly on the squad’s 4x400-<br />

meter relay… 2008: Redshirted his<br />
