Describe the project activity, the main technical
parameters and technology to be used, possible
results in terms of reducing emissions of
greenhouse gases, contributing to sustainable
development based on the criteria of sustainable
development) (maximum 2 pages)
The project involves the construction of small
hydropower plants, forces of up to 500 KW.
SHPP Zlot planned as a flow without reservoir,
consist of water intake (Tyrolean-type), which are
integral parts of a concrete sill and settling along
the watercourse, steel pipe for supplying water to
the machine building and machine building itself.
Planned environmental water intake does not
endanger the environment and the system as a
whole does not affect upstream or downstream
use of the remaining available hydro potential of
this river.
The project will significantly contribute to
sustainable development in Serbia and is based on
renewable energy (hydropower).
In this project emission reductions will be achieved
by replacing the current electric and / or heat
power produced by burning fossil fuels, electricity
and / or heat from a source with zero emission.
• The project will result in the transfer of money

and modern "green" technology, direct investment
and active participation of local companies
• Data project activity leads to a reduction in
emissions of greenhouse gases and the emission
reductions are "additional".
• The project will result in a reduced level of
emissions of CO2, SO2, NO2
• The project activity will lead to energy efficiency
on the supply side of energy systems and demand.
6. Current status of the project
(Pre-feasibility study, feasibility study, only project
idea, preliminary design, detailed design, in
construction, etc.).
Project Idea
7. Additionality (what would happen in the
absence of project activity)
8. Assessment of financing the cost of
investment and available funds
9. Time frame
Please estimate the time frame for
implementation of the proposed project
The project is additional since it faces significant
financial, investment and technological barriers.
Given the fact that the project leads to reduction
of CO2 emissions, engaging in a project that will
not result in a CER certificates is a major risk to the
project owner who is also the owner of the parcel.
In the absence of project activity Serbia will miss
the opportunity to improve the criteria of
sustainable development, attract foreign investors,
and further develop energy efficiency and
renewable energy.
IGIS IMAKO will contribute 20-40% of capital, while
foreign funds to finance the rest.
Investment costs of the project are estimated at
around 850 000 Euros.
2010/2011 selection of international financial
institutions for financing the project
2011 The start of the implementation
2012 Completion of construction and connection
to the grid.
