protection class I+II+III T1 T2 T3 (BCD),
Used as equipotential bonding lightning and surge protection in single phase TN-Power Net Systems
• Combined 2-pole modular Lightning Current + Surge Voltage Protective SPD, fully
pre-connected and leakage current free
• Fully based on patented hermetically sealed gas-filled Multi-chamber spark-gaps
• No blow-out vents, no distances for safety installation required
• Highly resistant against danger TOV, as no MOV to phase
• Protection level ≤ 1 kV
• Lightning current test level 25 kA (10/350 µs) per phase,
• High self-extinguishing capability without tripping fuses
• High insulation resistance R isol > 10 G Ω
• Serial wiring with multifunctional screw terminal
• LED for direct optical function monitoring built in
• Remote monitoring by built-in potential-free /FM remote signal sensor (optional)
Product description:
This combined two-pole SPD type PP BCD TN 25/50/LED-350 and PP BCD TN 25/50/LED/FM-350, with remote
signal contacts as well as LED monitoring, offers a complete solution for the protection of single phase TN-Power
Net Systems. They are usually installed in main- or sub-distribution panels or close to equipments to be
protected.
Thanks to the use of the patented, hermetically sealed inert-gas-filled isolating spark-gaps, this SPD allows to
achieve a very high-level discharge capacity without needing blow-out vents. This saves you from keeping the
safety distance to adjoining electrical components usually necessary to avoid electric arcs and fire hazardous.
As there is no risk of leakage currents, this SPD can also be installed before the electric power meter (acc. to
TAB2000, installation rules of the German Union of Electric Energy Suppliers).
This 2-pole SPD is capable to discharge lightning current surges of 25 kA (10/350µs) per phase and totally 50 kA
(10/350µs) to PE.
It self-extinguishes main supply follow-on currents up to 4 kA, so that even small fuses (>35A) will not trip.
Each protective spark gap is installed in an easy-to-handle compact DIN size housing with 2 fixable snap-on clips
for 35 mm DIN rail mounting on each SPD-module. Multifunctional large dimensioned screw terminals for wireand
bus-bar connections. Line installation can be carried out either by parallel wiring via the multifunctional screw
connection terminal L, N, or by serial V-wiring via the terminals L,N to L’,N´ connected with the two-pole busbars.
Optional a sealed potential-free remote signal sensor (/FM) with thermal NC safety function can be built-in. The
wire connection is made via a pluggable screw terminal block.
