When the world tells us that we must accumulate, earn as much money<br />
as possible, have as many holidays as we can, have the latest technology,<br />
to be happy, the Bible shows a different way. To be happy, content,<br />
satisfied, is simply to feel the warmth <strong>of</strong> God’s smile upon your face, the<br />
pleasure <strong>of</strong> his delighting in you. <strong>The</strong> means <strong>of</strong> this contentment is not<br />
in our achievements, but in the finished work <strong>of</strong> Jesus on the cross, who<br />
paid the price for our sins, and died in our place.<br />
I hope and pray that you would know that peace with God that the<br />
world can never give, but which we can have through faith in Jesus Christ.<br />
