workshop
two day workshop was held at India Club for Logo and Business card
A design in Corel Draw on 23 and 24th April 2010.
The workshop covered basic tools of Corel Draw, concepts and guidelines
of identity design, process in creating an identity and the difference between
Raster and Vector files.
The workshop attendees ranged from young students to adults, and the
work featured self-create exercises based upon what the attendees learnt in
the workshop. Many that attended the first workshop came to the second
session with one logo already designed. All the attendees were enthusiastic to
learn an entirely new subject and to have hands-on sessions of creating Logos
for themselves and their respective businesses too.
Although it was a new subject for many, the workshop conducted by Mr.
Suhail Naz was designed to go at a steady pace to cover the maximum number
of tools and provide rich knowledge into basic graphic design.
Suhail Naz is a Dubai based graphic designer and photographer who has
conducted many photography workshops and photoshop sessions too, at
India club since 2008.
The workshop was coordinated by Dr. Manu Mehta and, Mr. Thomas Jacob
provided all technical assistance to create this workshop a success. 0
BUDDING CHEFS
A culinary
workshop for children
was conducted by Mrs
Gahana Khatwani on the 5th
April 2010. The kids got an
opportunity to prepare
an entire platter of food
consisting
of starters and mocktails.
For starters Gahana taught
them how to prepare sour
cream and salsa dip that went
well with nachos.
The children made
their own paneer footlong
which was grilled and later
washed down by an orange
sunshine mocktail. A few
enthusiastic kids purchased
the ingredients on their way
home and prepared a treat for
their parents. Over 20 kids
attended this workshop. 0
