Baisakhi
India Club celebrated “Baisakhi”, the
harvest festival of Punjab on Thursday,
1st April ‘10.
BAISAKHI NITE 2010, the Punjabi
festival of harvest, was ushered in with all the
trappings of joy and splendour as revellers
were treated to top class entertainment from
Harpreet Deol and Apurva Shah of SA RE
GA MA fame with Saira Khan, playback
singer from Punjab.
The singers were backed by a six piece
live back-up band.
Punjabis can trace their identity to a land
of gaiety and merrymaking that is filling
to the brim with the advent of festivals
like “Baisakhi” when bumper crops bring
happiness and prosperity to the land and
the people.
Besides the entertainment, the Club
Members relished the authentic Punjabi
Cuisine at the food courts.
