The Sonoma Valley is one of the premier wine producing areas in the world. It is centrally
located among the northern California wine regions between Napa and Russian River, making
it easy to visit all of the sites, attractions and vineyards just north of the San Francisco Bay
area. The region boasts a wonderful mixture of bed & breakfasts, restaurants, crafts shops,
destination spas, wineries, tasting rooms, music festivals, farmers markets, shopping, golf
and other recreational activities. The quality and diversity of activities makes the wine region a
preferred destination for the discriminating traveler. There is always something to do in the area
while the atmosphere invites you to relax and take your time. Daily temperatures at this time
of year are usually comfortable and sunny, and there is the added bonus of being in the wine
region during harvest time. Information on the region’s wineries and local scheduled events can

Welcome Reception

All attendees and their guests are invited to a wine-and-cheese welcome reception.
Sonoma Valley vintners will be offering a sampling of regional wines.
Riedel Glass Demonstration/Seminar
TUESDAY, OCTOBER 14, 4:00 – 6:00 PM
Riedel is known for designing the most finely tuned instruments for enjoying every vintage of
wine, and their glassware is regarded as the finest throughout all wine-glass makers and price
categories. This seminar-demonstration will allow you to taste four different varietals from four
different Riedel glasses, which are designed to enhance the aroma and bouquet of each wine.
This is a unique opportunity in which you keep the four pieces of stemware used in the tasting
(Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Burgundy/Pinot Noir and Bordeaux/Cabernet Sauvignon).
Seating is limited, spouses/guests of at least twenty-one years are welcome to participate. Tour
pricing and registration information will be available on the UCSF Radiology website starting in
