The test plug enables safe control of the direction of the rotating field for CEE sockets.
According to VDE 0100 § 31b) 5, rotary current sockets must be connected such that a right-hand rotating
field is achieved - the sockets seen from front in clock-wise direction.
The test plug differs from a standard plug by its transparent housing indicating a right-hand or left-hand rotating field or
a missing phase by means of two control lamps.

Green lamp lights up.
Incorrect rotating field:
Red lamp lights up.

Both lamps light up.
