UKWA Pavilion at Food & Drink Logistics show
One of the key attractions at
the forthcoming Food & Drink
Logistics show will be the
United Kingdom Warehousing
Association (UKWA) Pavilion.
The UKWA Pavilion will
showcase the products and
services offered by UKWA
members and associate members.
The Pavilion will be centered
around a hospitality area
where visitors to the show can
learn more about the workings
of the UKWA and the benefits
of joining the association. The
facility will also be somewhere
where visitors can discuss their
logistics or materials handling
needs with UKWA Pavilion
exhibitors away from the noise
and bustle of the exhibition.
Roger Williams, chief executive
officer of UKWA, commented:
“The Food & Drink
Logistics event is an ideal
opportunity for our members
to promote their services to a
market that has remained relatively
bouyant throughout the
recession.”
The food and drink logistics
market in the UK is worth
some £12bn a year and forms
around 10% of food and drink
companies' total spend. In the
current economic climate,
these companies are actively
seeking new and innovative
solutions and services to help
them maximise the efficiency of
their supply chain. The new
Food & Drink Logistics Show
will provide a unique and dedicated
platform for companies
involved with warehousing,
palletised transport, 3rd party
logistics, supply chain solutions
and many other areas to
showcase their products to toplevel
decision makers from the
food and drink sectors.
Daren Rose-Neale of show
organisers, William Reed, commented:
“Thousands of individuals
with purchasing
authority for logistics spend
within their organisation
already attend our leading
food and drink trade shows, so
Food & Drink Logistics Show is
a perfect fit and gives real
added value to visitors. We
surveyed a proportion from
visitors to our 2008 shows and
found that they are planning
to spend some £248 million on
logistics in the next 12 months.
The new show is an ideal
opportunity for suppliers to
meet with buyers from this
highly valuable market.”
