Service description: This program is funded by Home and Community Care 

Program. HACC provides support to assist frail elderly and younger people with 

disabilities and their carers. The services provided depend on the needs of the client or 

carer ranging from assistance with daily living, general household tasks, transport, in 

home respite, personal care, social support, allied health including counselling, social 

work and client education and other tasks in response to individual needs. Eligibility: 

Persons in the target group at risk of premature or inappropriate placement in 

institutional care - screened using the HACC ONI Tool.

4122 8733 if you need this level of support. Fees: 17.5% of basic pension with 

adjustments depending on client's financial circumstances.

community groups and service providers who visit older people in the community.

Service description: The Meals on Wheels service provides a nutritious meal

Service description: Provides day respite so as to maintain the quality of life for the

etc.

Service description: The Baldwin Swamp Artists meet each Wednesday in the 

shelter shed at Baldwin Swamp to paint and exchange ideas and discuss art. There are 

currently around 30 people attending and this number fluctuates with school holidays 

and other commitments. The artists paint in many styles and mediums and are helpful 

to each other. There are no formal lessons, but occasionally demonstrations are 

conducted by different artists. No fees are involved and everyone is welcome.

Service description: The Bundaberg Players Incorporated is a not-for-profit, 

volunteer organisation which has been providing live amateur theatre to the residents 

of the Bundaberg region since 1951. Approximately six productions are performed 

each year and may include musical, theatre restaurant, comedy, drama, pantomime, 

revue, or performances by our very active Youth Theatre. The Playhouse Theatre 

boasts a comfortable, tiered auditorium which seats 242 patrons and it is utilised by a 

number of local performance-based organisations for concerts and presentations.

Service description: Bundaberg Quilters is very active group with some 180 

members of all ages. Apart from providing an environment for social activity and 

friendship, the group promotes the craft of patchwork and quilting. Meeting are 

Tuesdays from 10:00am - 3:00pm, 1st and 3rd Wednesday nights from 7:00pm - 

9:00pm, with a monthly general meeting on the 4th Saturday afternoon from 1:30pm. 

Joining fee is $5 and an annual membership is $25. the group produces a monthly 

informative newsletter and provides a comprehensive library for borrowings by 

members. Work shops and classes are held regularly. The group plans many social 

activities throughout the year.

Service description: The Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery is the hub for arts in 

Bundaberg and surrounding districts. The Gallery shows a diverse range of exhibitions 

including local and travelling state and national exhibitions in its three exhibition 

spaces. The Gallery Gift Shop stocks local arts and crafts, ideal souvenirs for our many 

visitors. A wide variety of public programs are offered including artist talks, workshops, 

school holiday programs, guided tours and special events. Children can also have fun

Service description: We offer comradeship to women who have served in the 

Australian Defence Force or the Forces of the Commonwealth or Allied countries. We 

have meetings, outings, luncheons and host reunions. We also attend reunions in 

other Centres. We attend commemorative and remembrance activities as a group. In 

2003 our Association proudly unveiled and dedicated a memorial to all Australian 

Service Women; this memorial is located in Lions Remembrance Park, Takalvan Street,

Service description: EDON Place Women's Domestic Violence Service provides crisis 

accommodation and support to women and children escaping/living with domestic 

violence as well as referrals to other agencies. Assistance with Domestic Violence 

Protection Order applications and Court support is provided as well as a rural outreach 

program. Two 12 week personal development groups are run each year, each in two 6 

week blocks. EDON Place Women's Domestic Violence Service is a crisis service and 

does not provide long term counselling. A small amount of Emergency Relief money 

is also available. Appointments are essential and only available Tuesday, Wednesday 

and Thursday between 9.00 and 12.00
