CommuniCAtions Committee
The Communications Committee was formed in early 2012
to support the Board of Governor’s internal and external
communications while maintaining the Board’s strategic focus.
The purpose and mandate of the Communications
Committee is to:
• Provide information from the Board of Governors to the
Meadowridge community regarding the health and wellbeing
of the Society and School, especially in terms of
planning and financial stability.
• Communicate, advance, and support the implementation
of the School’s vision (plans for the future).
• Manifest the desire of the Board of Governors to
communicate.
• Promote knowledge, insight, understanding, inclusion
and engagement of community members with the
School’s vision.
• Raise the profile of the Board of Governors as thoughtful,
caring and respectful community members learning to
live well, with and for others, in a just community.
In the few months that we have been working together we
have created a new letterhead and appearance for Board
communications, developed a preliminary communications
plan, and have undertaken to develop a more extensive
communications package in the coming year.
We have begun a quarterly letter to the community series
and hope to highlight the roles and profile of the Board of
Governors. We will be working to build awareness of the
Board and the work that the Board and its committees do.
