Heating jacket<br />

Safety valves in systems which need to be protected from<br />

media that are viscous, sticky, or have the tendency to<br />

crystallize out of solution can be fitted with a heating jacket.<br />

The heating jacket is constructed with a welded design and<br />

covers the outlet body (Item 2), allowing heating medias (e. g.<br />

steam, heat transfer oil, etc.) to pass through the space created.<br />

For the balanced bellows design a separate heating of the<br />

bonnet spacer (Item 11) is not necessary. Sufficient heat will<br />

transfer to the spacer by convection, due to the compact<br />

design of the Series 459.<br />

If there is no risk of solidification of the media at the outlet a<br />

safety valve without balanced bellows can be used as well.<br />
