with various coloured illustrations including a conjuror, framed<br />

and glazed, Milan, [1894?] § Programme for St. George’s Hall,<br />

including J.N. Maskeyne’s “Dancing Elf” and a revival of “Will,<br />

the Witch, and the Watchman”, 1917, and Maskelyne’s Misteries,<br />

illustrations, 1924; together with a collection of autogaph or typed<br />

letters to Lewis Davenport signed by Howard Ballard, Dacre,<br />

Charles Dratton, J. H. Drayton, George Le Roy, Lindon, Percy<br />

Lytton, The Rodways, Morris St. Clair, Van Gelder, Herbert Victor,<br />

Prof. Wareing, and Harry Whiteley, all but the last on headed paper,<br />

some incorporating portraits; sixteen others, including a letter<br />

written at his suggestion on Charlton’s headed paper; and seventeen<br />

headed portions of other conjurors’ stationery, the majority soiled<br />
