lacking F,U,W, and Z, coloured by hand, in original case, title and
illustration on one side, top and bottom edges split open, 49mm. by

*** Each card illustrates a different trade, each with a Christian
name and title starting with the appropriate letter, apart from K
which depicts Kelmer, an Escamoteur.

Molton, 1883 § Follia Caffé Concerto con Ristorante, programme
with various coloured illustrations including a conjuror, framed
and glazed, Milan, [1894?] § Programme for St. George’s Hall,
including J.N. Maskeyne’s “Dancing Elf” and a revival of “Will,
the Witch, and the Watchman”, 1917, and Maskelyne’s Misteries,
illustrations, 1924; together with a collection of autogaph or typed
letters to Lewis Davenport signed by Howard Ballard, Dacre,
Charles Dratton, J. H. Drayton, George Le Roy, Lindon, Percy
Lytton, The Rodways, Morris St. Clair, Van Gelder, Herbert Victor,
Prof. Wareing, and Harry Whiteley, all but the last on headed paper,
some incorporating portraits; sixteen others, including a letter
written at his suggestion on Charlton’s headed paper; and seventeen
headed portions of other conjurors’ stationery, the majority soiled
