of a painting (signed and dated Roma, 1870?) depicting a Japanese<br />
conjuror giving a a private performance before a group of French<br />
courtiers in eighteenth-century dress, 608mm. by 906mm., New<br />
York, Morris & Bendien Inc., [c.1900]; another wood-engraved<br />
version of the same picture from a German periodical; two engraved<br />
plates illustrating Legerdemain, extracted from the Encyclopedia<br />
Brittanica, 1797, with accompanying text; a lithographed cartoon<br />
by John Doyle titled “The Thimble Rig,”, 1834; an engraved view<br />
of the Egyptian Hall after Thomas H. Shepherd, and a large woodengraved<br />

commemorating Tommy Cooper, an undivided sheet of the Guyana<br />
“The Magical World of David Copperfield”, and smaller sheet with<br />
one detachable stamp; Magic Circle Centenary Stamps, comprising<br />
four official first day covers each with the five different stamps and<br />
illustration of David Devant, number 25-28 of 1100 copies, 19 first<br />
