TU Names Two<br />
New Trustees<br />
<strong>Tiffin</strong> <strong>University</strong> has elected Michael Spragg and Larry Adelsperger to its Board<br />
of Trustees according to Gary Heminger, Chair.<br />
According to <strong>Tiffin</strong> <strong>University</strong> President Paul Marion, “Mike Spragg and Larry<br />
Adelsperger are wonderful additions to our Board of Trustees. In addition to<br />
their career achievements, they have made many positive contributions to their<br />
communities.”<br />
Larry Adelsperger is Executive Vice President of P.T. Services Rehabilitation,<br />
Inc., a Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy and Athletic Training service<br />
provider in northern and central Ohio. He is also President of an agricultural<br />
operation in Seneca County.<br />
“I hope to be able to help enhance the impressive growth of <strong>Tiffin</strong> <strong>University</strong><br />
through my responsibilities as a trustee,” said Adelsperger. “TU is in the fast<br />
lane, and I am proud to be a part of it.”<br />
Michael Spragg was named President and CEO of The Old Fort Banking Company<br />
this year. He has also been appointed as a member of the Board of Directors<br />
for The Old Fort Banking Company and its holding company, Gillmor Financial<br />
Services, Inc. He was most recently employed as the District President, Northern<br />
District and Executive Vice President of Commercial Lending of Sky Bank, where<br />
he had been employed since 1998. Prior to Sky Bank, Mike Spragg was employed<br />
as the President and CEO of Peoples Banking Company, Findlay, Ohio.<br />
“TU has done a tremendous job as a smaller <strong>University</strong> in achieving the<br />
comparable educational accomplishments of larger schools,” says Michael<br />
Spragg. “I hope to be able to help enhance this impressive growth through my<br />
responsibilities as a trustee.”<br />

“Before the Music Dies”<br />
In November, TU’s Arts & Angles series featured<br />
Brad Rees, Director of Performing Arts, who<br />
moderated an event that offered an insider’s<br />
look at the music business, and featured special<br />
guest Adam McInnis, a noted singer/songwriter.<br />
The program included<br />
a screening<br />
of the award-winning<br />
documentary,<br />
“Before the Music<br />
Dies,” at the Ritz<br />
Theatre.<br />
As part<br />
of the screening,<br />
singer-songwriter<br />
McInnis was on<br />
hand to discuss<br />
his experience in<br />
the music industry<br />
with the audience. An Austin, Texas native,<br />
McInnis was featured in the ABC television show,<br />
“The One: The Making of a Music Star,” and is<br />
currently touring the country in conjunction with<br />
“Before the Music Dies.” He also gave a free<br />
concert on the TU campus in The Gillmor Student<br />
Center which offered a mixture of alternative,<br />
rock, pop & soul, showcasing timeless<br />
songwriting and his captivating voice. McInnis’<br />

Dragon’s Den Players<br />
Love Letters<br />
Adam McInnis<br />
The Dragon’s Den Players Theatre Group<br />
presented the work of A.R. Gurney’s, Love Letters, in<br />
November. The play chronicles the relationship of<br />
two lifelong friends through letters they have written<br />
to each other since childhood, according to Dr. Mary<br />
Grennen, Assistant Professor of English. “The<br />
letters unravel the details of their intimate but<br />
often acrimonious friendship, their contrasting<br />
personalities, and their individual journeys through<br />
life,” she says.<br />
