<strong>Pool</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>Spa</strong> <strong>Guest</strong> <strong>Service</strong> <strong>Attendant</strong><br />
Job Overview<br />
The purpose of the <strong>Pool</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>Spa</strong> <strong>Guest</strong> <strong>Service</strong> <strong>Attendant</strong> position is to repair <strong>and</strong> maintain the<br />
aquatic facilities on the resort, including hot tubs in the rental management program. This<br />
position will provide outst<strong>and</strong>ing customer service to both our guests <strong>and</strong> owners. The position<br />
requires that the person be able to meet the physical dem<strong>and</strong>s of the job.<br />
General Responsibilities<br />
General maintenance <strong>and</strong> upkeep of water quality on all pools <strong>and</strong> spas.<br />
Use of chemicals, pool <strong>and</strong> spa equipment<br />
Maneuver up to 30 pounds<br />
Public contact <strong>and</strong> paperwork to track water quality<br />
Operate mechanical <strong>and</strong> motorized equipment.<br />
Be able to turn automatic irrigation controllers off <strong>and</strong> on.<br />
Work in adverse weather; cold/heat; rain/snow.<br />
Other duties as assigned.<br />
Job Qualifications<br />
Education <strong>and</strong> Experience:<br />
High school diploma preferred.<br />
At least five years experience in pool <strong>and</strong> spa repair <strong>and</strong> maintenance.<br />
Certification:<br />
Certified <strong>Pool</strong> & <strong>Spa</strong> Operator, or ability to obtain.<br />
Physical Requirements<br />
Required <strong>Pool</strong> <strong>and</strong> spa Operators License.<br />
Tech 1 <strong>and</strong> Tech 2 certification in pool <strong>and</strong> spa repair.<br />
Requires up-to-date knowledge of State of Oregon Health Codes <strong>and</strong> required equipment<br />
functions.<br />
Up-to-date knowledge of all pool <strong>and</strong> spa chemicals, water quality <strong>and</strong> sanitation<br />
requirements.<br />
Knowledge of water hydraulics <strong>and</strong> all plumbing associated with pools <strong>and</strong> spas.<br />
Efficient in all repair work for pool <strong>and</strong> spa equipment, including gas pool heaters, Eco Lab<br />
Systems, pumps, filters, lights <strong>and</strong> chlorinators.<br />
Basic electrical knowledge.<br />

As a <strong>Pool</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>Spa</strong> <strong>Guest</strong> <strong>Service</strong> <strong>Attendant</strong> you will be expected to work with Associates <strong>and</strong><br />
visitors to ensure satisfaction. A <strong>Pool</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>Spa</strong> <strong>Guest</strong> <strong>Service</strong> <strong>Attendant</strong> will have to take<br />
initiative <strong>and</strong> get creative in resolving challenges <strong>and</strong> involve a manager only when previous<br />
methods have been unsuccessful.<br />

Physical Requirements<br />
Ability to speak <strong>and</strong> hear.<br />
Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, <strong>and</strong> the<br />
ability to adjust focus.<br />
Frequent st<strong>and</strong>ing with some walking <strong>and</strong> sitting at times.<br />
Be able to work in a st<strong>and</strong>ing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours).<br />
Be able to reach, bend, stoop <strong>and</strong> frequently lift up to 30 pounds <strong>and</strong> occasionally<br />
lift/move 50 pounds.<br />
Continual use of manual dexterity <strong>and</strong> gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual<br />
dexterity <strong>and</strong> fine motor skills.<br />
Working Conditions<br />
May be indoor or outdoor setting..<br />
Will be using a computer occasionally.<br />
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to heat/cold<br />
from the mechanical equipment.<br />
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.<br />
Will work near moving or mechanical parts.<br />
Varying schedule to include evenings, holidays <strong>and</strong> extended hours as business dictates.<br />
