Pool and Spa Guest Service Attendant
Job Overview
The purpose of the Pool and Spa Guest Service Attendant position is to repair and maintain the
aquatic facilities on the resort, including hot tubs in the rental management program. This
position will provide outstanding customer service to both our guests and owners. The position
requires that the person be able to meet the physical demands of the job.
General Responsibilities
General maintenance and upkeep of water quality on all pools and spas.
Use of chemicals, pool and spa equipment
Maneuver up to 30 pounds
Public contact and paperwork to track water quality
Operate mechanical and motorized equipment.
Be able to turn automatic irrigation controllers off and on.
Work in adverse weather; cold/heat; rain/snow.
Other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
Education and Experience:
High school diploma preferred.
At least five years experience in pool and spa repair and maintenance.
Certification:
Certified Pool & Spa Operator, or ability to obtain.
Physical Requirements
Required Pool and spa Operators License.
Tech 1 and Tech 2 certification in pool and spa repair.
Requires up-to-date knowledge of State of Oregon Health Codes and required equipment
functions.
Up-to-date knowledge of all pool and spa chemicals, water quality and sanitation
requirements.
Knowledge of water hydraulics and all plumbing associated with pools and spas.
Efficient in all repair work for pool and spa equipment, including gas pool heaters, Eco Lab
Systems, pumps, filters, lights and chlorinators.
Basic electrical knowledge.

As a Pool and Spa Guest Service Attendant you will be expected to work with Associates and
visitors to ensure satisfaction. A Pool and Spa Guest Service Attendant will have to take
initiative and get creative in resolving challenges and involve a manager only when previous
methods have been unsuccessful.

Physical Requirements
Ability to speak and hear.
Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the
ability to adjust focus.
Frequent standing with some walking and sitting at times.
Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours).
Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 30 pounds and occasionally
lift/move 50 pounds.
Continual use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual
dexterity and fine motor skills.
Working Conditions
May be indoor or outdoor setting..
Will be using a computer occasionally.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to heat/cold
from the mechanical equipment.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
Will work near moving or mechanical parts.
Varying schedule to include evenings, holidays and extended hours as business dictates.
