A student who is new to <strong>Parker</strong> will be placed into an appropriate math course based upon the following:<br />

At the conclusion of their first year, students may, with Department Chair approval, move up in placement (e.g.<br />

into the Honors track) if they have their teacher’s recommendation and have earned an A+ for the course.<br />

Continuing in Math Program at <strong>Parker</strong><br />

The chart below displays the courses offered and how students will typically progress through the curriculum.<br />

At the end of each year, the department will place the students into the next appropriate course in the<br />

curriculum. In order to remain in the Honors and AP program, a student must maintain an 85% or higher.<br />

Final exams for both courses will be proctored by a <strong>Parker</strong> faculty member on campus. The final for<br />

course 041 will be administered Monday, June 18 th at 1:45 pm. The final for course 043 will be<br />

administered in July (date TBD). A transcript must be submitted to <strong>Francis</strong> <strong>Parker</strong> by August 10 th to verify<br />

final grades in both courses. A student is allowed to re-take the BYU final for the 041 course if he or she<br />

does not achieve the required grade the first time. All re-takes will also be administered on the <strong>Parker</strong><br />

campus (date TBD).
