3. Horserace & Calcutta<br />
Beginning of July<br />
Horserace: Friday evening, 2‐man teams play alternate play for six holes. Teams drop out until<br />
last hole where winner declared. Four teams eligible for prize money.<br />
Calcutta: Teams auctioned on Friday night to establish prize money pool. Saturday, 2‐man<br />
teams play 18 holes – 1st six: net best ball; 2nd six: 2‐man scramble; 3rd six; alternate shots.<br />
Top five low scores eligible for prize money.<br />

scheduled for Mondays and Thursdays instead of Thursdays and Saturdays.<br />

Early morning Men’s <strong>Club</strong> play<br />
The Men’s <strong>Club</strong> has booked a block of tee times starting from 7:00 am to 8:30 am (depending on the<br />
time of year) for semi‐organized play by our members from Tuesday to Saturday. During the active<br />
season (April to September), Monday and Thursday are dedicated to organized play, as described<br />
above. Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday will be semi‐organized. During the winter season<br />
(November to March) the men’s club semi‐organized play is changed to a shotgun start at 11:00 am<br />
(weather permitting). For members who wish to take advantage of the block tee‐time:<br />
1. Sign up for men’s club morning play at the pro‐shop at least twenty‐four hours prior<br />
2. Show up at least a half hour prior to the first tee‐time<br />
3. Place your marked golf ball in the bag at the pro shop<br />
4. Teams and starting times will be decided by drawing golf balls out of the bag.<br />

5. The type of game to be played will also be decided at that time.<br />
6. $4.00 each entry fee; top 3 teams win cash prizes.<br />

Canada Pairs Competition<br />

<strong>Crown</strong> <strong>Isle</strong> enters a 2‐man team to the Western Canadian Final of the Canada Pairs Competition<br />
(a two person event using handicaps and Stableford scoring over two days).<br />
The men’s club organizes the qualifying rounds for members wishing to participate in the<br />
International Pairs Competition.<br />
Three Organized Play days are used to permit two‐man teams to compete to see which team<br />
represents <strong>Crown</strong> <strong>Isle</strong> in the Western Canadian Final. Only one 2‐man team will advance to the<br />
final.<br />
Twosomes wanting to compete in Canada Pairs must sign up for Men’s <strong>Club</strong> organized play and,<br />
in addition, they must also register their team for <br />
This is a three‐day qualifying tournament but only the best two scores out of the three<br />
qualifying days will be counted.<br />
The team with the highest aggregate total of Stableford points of the two rounds advances to<br />
the final. In the event of a tie, there will be a playoff.<br />
